Turtle Turtle Sound System, an Indigenous-owned record store in South Seattle, seeks a compelling visual identity that reflects its commitment to community and music. Specializing in Oi, punk, and hardcore, the store is a DIY, family-run hub dedicated to fostering local connections and supporting mutual aid.
The project aims to create a bold visual style that celebrates the store’s Indigenous heritage, embraces its grassroots spirit, and appeals to a diverse audience. Key deliverables include a dynamic logo and distinctive typography. The new visual identity will be applied to storefront signage, merchandise, and online platforms, ensuring a cohesive and engaging presence across all mediums.
By aligning Turtle Turtle Sound System’s visual identity with its mission, we aim to attract music lovers and strengthen community ties, reinforcing the store's role as a cultural and social cornerstone in South Seattle.
Doe Donuts tackled the challenge by modernizing its logo, transforming the old doe deer into a sleek, contemporary design. They incorporated a donut and soft serve ice cream into the graphic, clearly showcasing their specialties. This rebrand not only refreshed their visual identity but also reinforced what Doe Donuts is all about, attracting new customers while delighting existing fans.
